Meet Darla Romero

Darla is originally from Northern California but has lived in Albuquerque since 1984. She has always had a passion for serving others and is the founder of a non-profit organization that feeds the homeless in downtown Albuquerque.

Following a successful 15-year marketing career in Albuquerque, she transitioned to the hospice market, where she discovered a newfound passion for assisting seniors. Recognizing the pressing need for support and guidance among families navigating complex care decisions, Darla embraced her role as an advocate for the elderly. After five enriching years in hospice care, Darla felt a calling to extend her impact and support seniors at a different stage in their life. Shifting her focus, she began guiding families in finding optimal solutions for their loved ones' senior living needs. She believes seniors deserve to uphold their dignity and enjoy the highest quality of life possible. She loves helping seniors find the perfect place to call home.

As a Certified Senior Advisor, she has over a decade of experience working with seniors and their families. Her expertise in this area allows her to work with seniors in a way that doesn’t feel like work at all. It’s more of a ministry than a job. She loves God, enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. She likes to go swimming and paddleboarding and is always looking for a beach, lake, or river to put her toes in.

Meet Mario Romero

Mario, a native of New Mexico, was born in Las Vegas, NM but grew up in the communities of Santa Fe and Pojoaque. Since 1998, he has called Rio Rancho home.

Mario has worked very closely with the Alzheimer’s Association, the Parkinson's resource organization, and several home health and hospice agencies as well as many community-based groups that help serve seniors and find solutions for their needs. He actively engages in community-based initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of seniors. His steadfast dedication is rooted in his belief that being a senior advisor is more than an occupation; it represents a profound calling - a ministry devoted to enhancing the lives and well-being of our senior community. His passion for serving seniors extends beyond the professional realm, as he wholeheartedly assists individuals and families in navigating the intricate landscape of senior living options.
